The TRCIII-A-230 standard ice point is the newest member of the OMEGA precision calibration reference instrument series. The TRCIII-A ice point™ reference chamber relies on the equilibrium of ice and distilled deionized water at atmospheric pressure to maintain six reference wells at precisely 0°C. Each well extends into a sealed cylindrical cavity containing distilled deionized water. The outer wall of the cavity is cooled by thermoelectric cooling elements.  The alternate freezing and melting of ice precisely maintains the 0°C environment around the reference wells. The TRCIII-A features a built-in temperature readout [°C/°F] with a resolution of 0.1°. The unit comes with an NIST-traceable calibration certificate.
